I can't stop thinking about summer and honestly anything that I have to randomly write it's about that. I have a lot to do this summer and I hope it's nice and warm because summer is one of my favorite seasons. I just love being able to go outside in a tee-shirt and short and flip-flops. After school is over I plan on working at Kohl's and volunteering in a Kindergarten classroom at Linton Springs Elementary School. My "second mom" is the teacher of the class and I always go in and help out during the whole day. I really like doing this because it only helps me since I want to be a teacher once I'm done college. I also help my volleyball coach with all of the camps he holds over the summer. I get payed to help and teach children the sport I love, I mean what better way to make some money. I am also planning on playing in two grass tournaments this summer with my friend Bryan. We have played doubles on a court before but never played on grass together so it should be really interesting. Aside from all of this stuff I am taking a Biology class at Carroll Community College for about a month, 4 times a week. It doesn't seem like it should be to hard but you never know and at least that's the only class I have to focus on over the summer. That's pretty much my summer wrapped up in a nutshell, you may be asking where's the vacation? My family hasn't gone on vacation for awhile, specifically when I started high school. Both of my parents work over the summer so they could take off a work and go on vacation but honestly I have no idea where we would go so we haven't done that in awhile and I'm ok with it.

Kohl's
Last Friday and Saturday I worked at my job for the first time in awhile. I am also working this Friday and Saturday and I am kind of regretting signing up to work because I have a lot of schoolwork to get done and I could use those day to myself. I work at Kohl's in Westminster and man is it crazy. Not only have I recently been given 8 hour shifts but I realize I am lost when I have to put the clothes away. Since we get new clothes in all of the time the floor is constantly changing and I feel like a chicken with my head cut off. It's frustrating putting clothes away and you're just looking for that one last piece and you can't find the rack it hangs on anywhere. Not to mention the rude customers who trash the fitting rooms and lay items they don't want in random places around the store. Don't people have any common respect? I have learned through working in retail that the answer to that question is no. And don't even get me started when I get called up to the register. I usually hate checking people out because they ask so many questions about the sales and the prices because they think the computers wrong. Oh and when we have percentage off days or we are giving out Kohl's cash the line never ends, it is just a mad rush of people everywhere. I know I shouldn't be complaining because it's money and really not a bad job but I just wish people had a little bit more respect because I am no different then anyone else, except that I work there.
Life's Treasures
Although school is almost over
Break can’t get here soon enough
Counting down the days
Dreaming of the freedom
Enjoying every minute of summer
Finally it soon arrives
Going insane waiting
Hopefully I have lots of fun
I’m making plans with my cousin
Joyous days are soon to come
Katelynne and I will be reunited
Like two peas in a pod we are
Merrily swimming and shopping
Never spending time apart
Only always being together
Princesses we will always be
Queens might be harder to achieve
Realizing how busy we are
Still we try to hangout as much as we can
Time just doesn’t want to slow down
Until the new school year starts again
Very, very busy
Working all the time
You have to treasure life as it’s handed to you
Zigzagging through everything like it never ends!

Summertime
As I sit by the pool,
my senses began to perk up.
I feel a splash of water that is cool
and take a drink from my cup.
I smell the freshly planted sunflowers,
beginning to bloom.
The sky opened up and it started to shower,
so I ran to the sunroom.
I see the water dripping off the tress,
I hope the rain will stop soon.
This is such a tease,
I should be outside in June.
My summer should not be like this,
instead a paradise filled with bliss.
It's a beautiful thing...
It's a beautiful thing,
the sun shining on the Earth
as it warms us all up.
It's a beautiful thing,
the flowers blooming
as spring is getting closer.
It's a beautiful thing,
to smell the fresh air
and just be outside on
these wonderful days.
It's a beautiful thing,
life; just holding on to all
the moments and living everyday
to the fullest.
It's a beautiful thing!

ABC Family
Lately I have been so into Pretty Little Liars, which I watch every Monday when it comes on at 8:00 pm. It's honestly just another one of those shows that everyone watches because it's filled with mystery and leaves you hanging every week, but it's more than that to me. Pretty Little Liars is about 4 girls who are dealing with a stalker named A. It's kind of weird that A or people working for A are texting the girls because they used to have a friend named Allison before she was killed. The girls still haven't figured out who A is but he/she will be revealed really soon. The girls just need to be really careful because A loves to go after the people that are close to each girl rather than the girls themselves. I used to not be into any shows like this one but honestly I am starting to become obsessed with the ABC Family channel. Also on that channel is Jane By Design, which I have also started to love since the show began playing. Jane is a high school student who has gotten the fashion job of her life; she is an intern at Donovan Decker. Jane tries to juggle high school and high fashion as she is running a double life. Her best friend Billy helps her through all of the struggles she is dealing with in her life. Finally, another show that I just started watching is The Lying Game which is about two sisters who are twins that continue to switch places in each other lives. When they switch places a lot of their family doesn't even realize that it could be the other girl instead of the real one they usually live with. These are just some of my favorite shows on the ABC Family channel, which is one of my favorite channels on TV.

Thunder... BOOM
You're probably wondering about the title of my blog and it has significant meaning, which I will explain later. I help coach a 14's club volleyball team for Carroll County Volleyball Club and most of my life is dedicated to those girls. We have practice every Tuesday and Thursday but I can only come on Thursday night because I have class Tuesday night. Working with 14's is a pleasure but can also be a pain because sometimes I just don't have the patience to deal with a teenage girl. Most days I find it rewarding though because I get to teach young aspiring girls, that want to learn the game of volleyball. The girls on my club team listen very well and try to improve each and every practice. I am actually extremely proud of them because last Sunday we finally won our first tournament. Since we came in second in our pool we had to play the team that came in first in the other pool. That team ended up being our rival because they are also from Carroll County and we don't lose to other teams that are from the same county as us. The game was extremely close and I almost had a heart attack because we ended up winning the 3rd game by two points, that's the closest it can ever be. After winning the semi-final I knew we had the final wrapped up, we ended up playing my old club, MVSA (Montgomery Village Sports Association). When my girls finally won I was so excited for them, they really deserved the gold medal. We have a tournament this Sunday so hopefully they can do the same thing again. And back to the title, Thunder is our team name and whenever we get into a huddle to do a cheer we always say Thunder... BOOM!!
