Summertime

As I sit by the pool, 

my senses began to perk up.

I feel a splash of water that is cool

and take a drink from my cup.

I smell the freshly planted sunflowers, 

beginning to bloom.

The sky opened up and it started to shower, 

so I ran to the sunroom.

I see the water dripping off the tress,

I hope the rain will stop soon.

This is such a tease, 

I should be outside in June.

My summer should not be like this,

instead a paradise filled with bliss. 

It's a beautiful thing...

It's a beautiful thing, 

the sun shining on the Earth

as it warms us all up.

It's a beautiful thing,

the flowers blooming

as spring is getting closer.

It's a beautiful thing, 

to smell the fresh air

and just be outside on

these wonderful days.

It's a beautiful thing,

life; just holding on to all

the moments and living everyday

to the fullest.

It's a beautiful thing!
